While horologists have long admired AP’s keen eye for timepiece design, the watchmaker’s competency in the hospitality business is not to be ignored. In 2005, Audemars Piguet had opened Hôtel des Horlogers, a fifty-room Swiss Inn. With their new Timeless Suite venture, Audemars Piguet is focusing on a singular pod, roosted on the side of the Dents-du-Midi mountain range. In order to source the best design firm to bring their vision to life, Audemars Piguet hosted a contest. The competition crowned Bénédicte Meynet and Singal Depéry-Moesch as victors. Since, the duo has designed the dome-shaped structure that seamlessly melds into the Swiss Alps. Situated at an elevation of nearly 4,600 feet, the eco-pod not only offers views of the mountainside, but also becomes one with it.
