Daniel Hilpert founded EQ Magazine in 2019. As publisher and editor-in-chief, he oversees the magazine’s editorial direction, bringing together original photography, interviews and stories exploring automotive culture, architecture, design, watches and travel.

Daniel is also a real estate developer and investor, and the founder and managing member of Equicap, a Hamptons-based real estate development and investment firm focused on design-driven residential properties.

With more than two decades of experience in real estate investment, finance and development, he has arranged and advised on more than $10 billion in debt and equity transactions across multiple asset classes. His financial background informs his development work, combining investment discipline with a focus on architecture, design and construction.

Through Equicap, Daniel oversees the development process from site acquisition and architectural planning through financing, construction, marketing and sales. The firm develops traditional cedar-shingle and contemporary residences in the Hamptons, with each project responding to its site, landscape and surrounding community.

Daniel is a graduate of Columbia University.
