Honda Aircraft Company recently debuted the newest member of its fleet at the 2023 European Business Aviation Convention and Exhibition (EBACE) in Geneva, Switzerland. The innovative aviation company’s latest aircraft is the HondaJet Elite II.
“Debuting our latest aircraft at EBACE marks an important milestone for everyone at Honda Aircraft Company, demonstrating our unwavering commitment to excellence,” said Honda Aircraft President & CEO Hideto Yamasaki. “The HondaJet Elite II continues our dedication to exceeding the expectations of customers worldwide by setting new standards in performance, efficiency and comfort for the future of very light jets,” continues Yamasaki.
With the release of the Elite II, HondaJet has expanded its global fleet to 230 aircraft worldwide.
The HondaJet Elite II is the successor to Honda Aircraft Company’s previous HondaJet Elite S. The new jet incorporates previous innovations from HondaJet, including the Over-The-Wing-EngineMount (OTWEM) configuration, Natural Laminar Flow (NFL) nose and wind, and composite fuselage.
The new Elite II reinstates HondaJet’s position as the most fuel-efficient aircraft in its class. Compared to other business jets, the Elite II has lower greenhouse gas emissions. With its maximized fuselage space, the Elite II also possesses the largest aircraft cabin in class.
Furthermore, Honda’s new aircraft can fly further than comparable business aircraft. Impressively, the Elite II has a range of 1,547 nautical miles.
Already, the HondaJet Elite II has received type certification from the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration. Furthermore, at EBACE, the aircraft also received EASA-type certification. Honda Aircraft Company is expectantly awaiting type certification from the European Union Aviation Safety Administration soon.
